Belmont Shore Tree Lighting

Friday
Nov 25,2005

We just returned from the Belmont Shore Christmas Tree Lighting. There are these wonderful Christmas trees all throughout Belmont Shore that are all lit up from the night after Thanksgiving until Christmas.

Unfortunately I missed the video of the boys with Santa, but I’ll post some still pics later.

Here is crazy Jacob as Napoleon Dynamite on Halloween.

Secret Agent Jacob

When I first got this video camera, Jacob and I had this great idea to make a movie. We didn’t really know what it was about… something about his grandmother kidnapping his baby brother (This was waaaay before Micah). We never edited the movie, it was just a bunch of clips all out of order.

Well I finally got around to editing it. This clip was the best I could do to make it make any sense. Its a pretty fun snapshot of Jacob at this age. What fun!

Jacob’s amazing nose
Posted to Flickr by hookjd on 20th November, 2005.

When Jacob was very young, I think around 2 or 3, he surprised us all when we were sitting around a dinner table and he silently hung a spoon on his nose. We all laughed and so did he, but the spoon just hung there. For the better part of 5 minutes. We were all stunned.

Well his amazing ability continues. I’ve never seen him unable to get a spoon to stick. When others struggle and crane their necks to make it stay, he simply places it there and goes about his business. Sweet.

Teething is fun

This was taken a few weeks ago when Micah discovered to his great joy that he was just tall enough to teethe on this rung of the crib and peek out at the same time. When he wasn’t biting, he was smiling and laughing bigger than ever.

Docolate Dilk

I’m not sure what it is about our family and chocolate milk, but we never call it that. Lucas started us off with his pronunciation of it, which became the namesake of this website. Lately, the bigger boys (Jacob and Lucas) have taken to making a drink they call “Docolate Dilk”. Its a simple concoction of 1/2 premade chocolate milk and 1/2 regular milk. (I think the pre-made stuff is too chocolatey for us). Try it sometime and think of us!
