Disneyland Buzz Lightyear Ride

OK. So I didn’t know I was being this intense while riding this ride at Disneyland. But check out my face.
Seriously though. After checking out my face… CHECK OUT MY SCORE! Yeah!
Pretty awesome touch-screen system after you come out of the ride that allows you to email the pic to yourself immediately. Disney did that one right.

That’s my boy.
He’s got the tallest bottom crack of any we’ve seen in this house. And I think he might be proud of it.
Sleeping update: Last night he slept solid all night and didn’t wake up until 6:30am! And tonight he went to sleep all on his own with no crying. We’re almost there. Feels like the home stretch. Christi and I don’t know what to do with ourselves. Thanks to all who have put up with our whining. What a long haul it has been.
On to new topics!
Welcome to Easter in America.
Micah in front of the Church
Posted to Flickr by hookjd on 16th April, 2006.
This was taken out in front of Bay Shore Church on Easter morning. All the boys looked very handsome in their Easter best.
In the “Will Micah ever sleep” saga, we have a new chapter. After a number of nights in the last month where we got almost no sleep at all, we decided to go straight to the source and we bought the Furber (sp?) book. For all the time we’ve spent championing his method, we’ve never actually owned his book. The book is quite enlightening, and although I’ve only skimmed it and read the parts that applied to us, it does seem to validate my opinion that poor Furber has been quite misunderstood. Its all relative of course, but he clearly has a well thought out idea of how to get through this transition.
In any case, we’ve been going “by the book” this week and it is definitely working. Four nights of Furber and we’ve had 3 complete nights of sleep. Last night Micah went to sleep with minimal crying and slept to 5am. We are keeping with the routine in the morning also and he doesn’t get to be “up” until 6:30…. but the rigorous schedule is definitely helping. We see light at the end of the tunnel!
Hope everyone’s Easter was as nice as ours. Cheers.
Welcome to the first Choggymowk podcast! Hope you enjoy this first episode. I’m working on subscribe buttons and iTunes integration. Hang on!
The Christening lunch
Posted to Flickr by hookjd on 4th April, 2006.
My dad just sent me this photo from the Christening Lunch we had last year. We set up this tent in the back yard of the old house and had a wonderful meal with family and friends to celebrate the arrival of our Micah. The day was bright and beautiful. Just like our boy.
